FAQs

How do I schedule a consultation?  Give us a call at (303) 905-1750 or send us an e-mail to schedule a free consultation.  We have appointments available in the afternoon, early evening and on the weekend.

What types of payment do you accept?  We accept check, cash or credit card payments.  If you choose to pay by credit card, we will e-mail you an invoice from Paypal.com which you can pay online.  Checks should be made payable to Vivid Reflections Photography.

Can we make payments? Yes, some couples make payments throughout the year, while others decide to pay all at once. Should you choose to make payments, the balance is due no later than 10 days prior to the wedding date.

Will I need to sign a contract? Yes, we do have a wedding agreement to ensure both parties are aware of what to expect. We’ll discuss and go over the agreement during your wedding consultation.

What if I What if I need additional coverage for my wedding? Additional hours can be purchased at an hourly rate of $250.00, charged in half hour increments.

When does my unlimited time coverage start? Photography coverage will start up to 2 hours before the ceremony begins and ends 1 hour after all major events of the reception unless other arrangements are agreed upon (coverage time will be extended).

Are there any travel fees? There are no travel fees for weddings within 40 miles of our office, which covers most of the Denver metro area, including Castle Rock, Thornton & Broomfield. For locations beyond this radius, a travel charge does apply of $0.60 per mile.

Who is the photographer? Marcy Pasquinelli is the main photographer and will photograph every wedding except in the event of an emergency. We work with two other photographers to provide coverage in two photographer packages.

What’s the advantage of having an assistant or second photographer? It’s impossible to be at two different places at the same time. At a wedding, it’s wonderful to have two photographers so that they can be at two different places at the same time – one while the bride’s getting ready, the other with the groom while he’s getting ready. Having two photographers is especially important during the ceremony, when one photographer can get the bride walking down the aisle while the other can capture the groom’s expressions. An assistant assists the photographer during formal portraits and also takes photographs at the reception.

How long will it be before I see our wedding photographs? It takes approximately 2 weeks after the wedding before the wedding photos are ready (up to 4 weeks during busy season – June through September). We will schedule a time to meet with both of you to view the photos, and select those for the coffee table book, album or prints for the credit included in your package.

How many images are selected to be artistically enhanced? We will select images to be artistically enhanced from your wedding day, and will enhance those images before the wedding is posted online. Typically, for a 6 hour wedding we will enhance 10-20 images. If you would like additional images artistically enhanced, you can purchase them a la carte.

When will I receive my CD or DVD with all the images in color and black & white? You will receive the CD to archive your photographs after your coffee table book or album is ordered. We strongly recommend against using these images to print your own photographs, unless you have a reasonable amount of experience using a computer graphics or photo program. Due to the varied nature of non-professional photo labs and personal printers, we cannot guarantee the results and color rendition if you are doing your own printing. Since all of our prints are retouched and color corrected prior to printing by a professional photo lab, it’s worthwhile to have professional prints to preserve your memories.

A CD is included with my package, can I upgrade to the DVD with higher resolution images? You can upgrade your CD to a DVD for an additional cost of $200 if the CD is already included with your all inclusive package.

When will I receive my coffee table book or album? After the images are selected at the post-wedding consultation, it takes approximately 2-4 weeks for the design to be done for your approval. You are allowed up to 10 image changes after the original design. Once the design is approved, your coffee table book or album will be ready for pick-up or shipment in 5-8 weeks.

How long are my images online for viewing by my friends and family? Both your engagement and wedding images are hosted online for 60 days. This includes a shopping cart option for guests to order their favorite prints. You can also e-mail images to your friends and family.

What’s the difference between a Love Story engagement session and an engagement portrait session? The Love Story package is a longer engagement session taken at two locations – special locations to the bride & groom – the place you met, the coffee shop you visit, etc. An engagement portrait session is taken at one location and lasts about an hour.

What happens if something goes wrong, like your car breaks down on the way to the wedding? As a member of the Professional Photographers of America, we have malpractice insurance in case our car breaks down, equipment malfunctions or otherwise cannot perform our duties as your photographer. We'll do our best to make sure those problems do not happen but are covered in the highly unlikely case they happen.

What kind of equipment do you use? We use the latest Canon digital SLR cameras.   We are constantly upgrading our cameras, lenses and lighting to ensure we get the best images on your wedding day.  We always bring backup equipment to your wedding in case something goes wrong.

What will you wear to the wedding? We usually wear dress pants to move around quickly to capture the shots you want. We don’t want you to be worried about what we’re going to wear or how we’re going to act at your wedding. We want to be unobtrusive when taking candid photos and make you feel relaxed to get more natural shots. We’ll interact with guests to get some of the more formal portraits too.

Do you offer any discounts on weekday or off-season weddings?  Yes, we do offer a discount for weekday (Monday-Thursday) and off-season weddings (November-March).  We also offer special discounts for select venues in the Denver area (All Crystal Rose locations).  Please contact us for more information.

Are you available for weddings outside the Denver metro area, such as mountain weddings?  Yes, we are available for weddings outside the metro area.  We are available for travel to Aspen, Breckenridge, Colorado Springs, Conifer, Estes Park, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Keystone, Loveland, Steamboat Springs, Vail and Winter Park to name a few places.  Travel fees apply of $0.60 per mile outside of our travel radius (40 miles).

Are you available for weddings outside of Colorado?  Yes, we are available for weddings out of state.  We have photographed weddings from the east to the west coast of the U.S. We love doing weddings in different parts of the country so please call our office for more details!

What if I need to cancel? If you need to cancel your wedding package, the retainer is non-refundable. We agree to reserve the time frame for your wedding when the agreement is signed, and for this reason, all retainers are non-refundable even if the date is changed or if the wedding is cancelled for any reason.

If you have any additional questions not covered here, please discuss them with us during the wedding consultation or give us a call or e-mail.
